From performances reflecting our historic heritage, to the most modern concerts and shows, Mexico knows all about entertainment.
One of the most enjoyable ways to learn about the roots giving identity to our culture is through performances. In the Xcaret Park, in the Riviera Maya, a world famous show is performed every day. It is a journey through history and the highlights of Mexican folklore, through profiles of different regions in the country: the charro festival in Jalisco, the flyers of Papantla, Veracruz, etc.
There are also annual shows embellishing different areas of Mexico. The carnivals, which during the months of February are held in Mazatlan and Veracruz, fill with life and color the boardwalks of each port. There are also many festivals related to religious festivities –such as the Todos Santos Fair in Colima -, cultural activities – such as the Mexico Festival in the Historic Center, in the Federal District – or because of the arrival of a season – such as the Cumbre Tajin, in spring -. Each celebration offers different events and shows, and the host cities will be very happy to offer you lodging.
In addition to the festivals, the major show activity is concentrated in Mexico’s big cities. In places such as Guadalajara, Monterrey or Mexico City, there are big theaters, forums, arenas, auditoriums and even stadiums. The best in sports, concerts and culture come together in them to entertain local audiences or visitors.
